CDC promotes hearing health

The U.S. Centers for DIsease Control and Promotion has recognized that hearing loss is a major problem in the U.S. and worldwide. Last June 2017 summer, it organized a CDC Grand Rounds on this topic.  The following new CDC Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports summarizes that June meeting CDC Grand Rounds: Promoting Hearing Health Across the Lifespan. Dr. Daniel Fink is a leading noise activist based in the Los Angeles area. He serves on the board of the American Tinnitus Association, is the interim chair of Quiet Communities’s Health Advisory Council, and is the founding chair of The Quiet Coalition, an organization of science, health, and legal professionals concerned about the impacts of noise on health, environment, learning, productivity, and quality of life in America.
